Myp2p95 | Today Big Game

Premier League

Man United are 4 out of 4 in the Premier League and have been rampant so far. Their victories have entertained fans with 16 goals in the last three BPL games. Chelsea were on a simliar role last season with a vicious start but slipped up all of a sudden, which means that the important thing is to find a style of play that can last the whole season. United rested some of their players in the Champions League clash at Benfica in midweek and will therefore be satisfied with the single point they picked up in what was thought to be their toughest match of the group stage. Rio Ferdinand is expected to anchor the defense while the in-form Chris Smalling could taste his first of what is likely to be many Man United v Chelsea matchup. On the injury front, Sir Alex will be without Vidic, Welbeck, Rafael and Celverley.

Chelsea's start to the Premier League does not seem that convincing. Although 3 consecutive wins place them just 2 points behind Man Utd , which means that they can go top of the table if they beat the Premier League champions at Old Trafford today . Their 2-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League has been, like their league performances, effective but not explosive. The best thing that came out of the midweek fixture against the Germans was Fernando Torres growing in confidence after contributing 2 assists. New signings Meireles and Mata will give Chelsea a fresh look against a side they haven’t done well against in the recent past, winning just 1 of their last 5 meetings with the Red Devils.
